12 units in ECE/CD, including courses in:
Child Growth & Development
Child/Family/Community or Child and Family Relations
Programs/Curriculum
OR Associate Teacher Level Permit or Certificate

24 units in ECE/CD (same core courses as above) plus 16 units of general education (one course each in English/Language Arts, Math or Science, Social Sciences, and Humanities/Fine Arts)
OR Teacher Level Permit or Certificate
OR Associate’s degree or higher in ECE/CD or related field, plus 3 units of supervised field experience in an ECE/CD setting

24 units in ECE/CD (same core courses as above) plus 16 units of general education (one course each in English/Language Arts, Math or Science, Social Sciences, and Humanities/Fine Arts)
6 additional units in an area of specialization (e.g., Infant/Toddler Care, Bilingual Development, Children with Exceptional Needs, Parent/Teacher Relations, etc.)
2 units of Adult Supervision
350 days of experience in an instructional role within the last 4 years

Bachelor’s degree or higher12 units in ECE/CD
3 units of supervised field experience in an ECE setting

Workforce Pathways Program
The Workforce Pathways Program supports early educators and students in Alpine and Mono Counties with financial stipends for completing key professional milestones – such as coursework, permits, degrees, professional development, and more–during the 2025–2026 program year.

Child Development Permit Stipends
The Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC) is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 Child Development Permit Stipend. The CDTC offers stipends to cover the application fee for a Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. All permit levels are eligible, from Assistant to Program Director. Applications can be submitted online for faster processing or by paper if preferred. Funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Apply now through the CDTC website.
The Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC) is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 Educational Support Grant (ESG). This grant helps cover educational costs for students pursuing early childhood education at California Community Colleges that participate in the CDTC. Eligible expenses may include tuition, fees, books, and other approved costs. Funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The application deadline for Summer/Fall 2025 is October 17, 2025. Apply now through the CDTC website.

Community Connections for Children (CCC) — Mono County Office of Education’s Community Connections for Children program is Mono County’s local Resource & Referral (R&R) agency. CCC helps families find and pay for child care, supports providers through training and licensing assistance, and connects the community to child care resources and information. Alternative Payment Program — Part of Mono County Office of Education’s Community Connections for Children, this program provides child care subsidies for eligible families who are working, in school, or seeking employment, allowing them to choose the child care setting that works best for them.
